Great 1940s 1950s Paper Mache Jack O Lantern Candy Container Halloween JOL

This is a nice little paper mache or, if you prefer, papier maché, jack o lantern JOL from the 1940s-1950s. It measures approximately 4-3/4 inches high, is very clean inside; has its original insert and the bottom is intact. These were dime store candy containers made somewhat crudely with natural imperfections. This lantern is in good vintage condition with some characteristic random rubs - on the tip of the nose, around the top opening, some crackling of the paint at the bottom rim; 99% of paint is present. There is a superficial diagonal scratch on the top right back rim measuring approx. 1-1/4 inches long. There is also a bump in the paint in the back center section toward the bottom. All of these imperfections are mentioned for accuracy of description; none is material. No wire handle at the top. This is a great specimen!
