Large Two Sided Paper Mache Jack O Lantern Halloween Two Faced JOL

This is a large, 7-1/2 inch high, two sided jack-o-lantern made of pulp or paper mache (or papier mache; if you prefer) in the 1940s. There is moderate wear - rubs and paint loss on Side 1 on the mouth cheeks nose at the left eye and on the top. There are random areas of wear and paint loss on the sides and some wear around the bottom rim. On Side 2, There is wear and paint loss in the same areas and on the eyebrows and a bump on the right cheek which looks like a manufacturing flaw. These were dime store candy containers made somewhat crudely with natural imperfections. The inside is very clean; no debris or wax; the bottom is cut out neatly in a circle in the center of the underside; and the inserts are reproductions made using 60-year-old paper. We usually double box these fragile lanterns.
