A hard-to-find paper mache, pulp or cat jack-o-lantern from the late 30s-40s. It measures approximately 5-1/4 inches high; has some wear to the paint on the bottom around the rim and a few very small random spots. The holes where the bail enters are a bit enlarged. The inside has some candle residue. The bottom is intact and the insert is a reproduction made on 60-year-old paper. This lantern is in very good vintage condition regardless of its imperfections. These were dime store candy containers made somewhat crudely with natural imperfections.
