This is a rare 1920s Shriner (quintessential) Egyptian Revival brooch or pin with a definite Deco aspect. The colors on the headpiece are enamel. An exceptional sterling and enamel bracelet crafted with incredible detail and vibrant colors by silver master Melesio Villarreal, Taxco, Mexico.  He is considered one of the few remaining Taxco artists whose work is extremely high quality.  Villarreal worked for Margot de Taxco for 30 years and produced many of her designs from old forms he had saved.  The bracelet is fully detailed on each articulated section.  It is made entirely with 980 silver, far purer than the 925 silver used more commonly for Mexican jewelry. The bracelet is hallmarked with the artist’s stylized script “Melesio Villarreal” signature and marked “980.”  An incredible amount of work went into creating this piece of wearable art.

The bracelet is designed with 14 hinged sections, two of which are the serpent’s head and tail. The measurements are 1-11/16 inches wide where the head and tail meet, and it tapers to approx. 3/8 inch wide at the tail.  It has a wearable length of 7 inches.   Weight of the bracelet is 50 grams of 980 silver. All of the sections are inlayed with colorful enamel and jet black details on collar and eyes. Handcrafted silver hinges join all the sections, and a secure tongue-in-box catch augmented with a silver security chain completes the bracelet.  There is a large silver post used where the serpent’s head and tail join which enables the bracelet to pivot fully open for ease of putting on the bracelet.  In excellent  condition. Wonderful transitional antique sash brooch from the Victorian Art Nouveau era. The brooch has a floral design with the center an oval open back faceted honey amber glass stone. The berries of the piece are rich amber rhinestones with detailed leaves spreading out over the frame. Oval in shape, the frame is scalloped on the inside and the outer rim. We love this charming necklace ~ it is feminine, pretty and looks very delicate on the neckline. The sterling chain measures approx. 7-1/2 inches from the spring ring closure to the top of the first crystal bead. There is another 2-3/4 inch drop from the top of the small carved purple amethyst bead to the top of the amethyst pendant and the remainder is approximately 1-3/4 long. The pendant is just over an inch long and approx. ¾ inch wide. The chain and mountings are sterling, and the back of the bezel on the pendant is stamped sterling. The jump ring closure looks as though it has been replaced from the original. In very good condition consistent with its age.

Stunning antique Victorian to Edwardian gold filled necklace with adjustable bezel set amber glass stones. The necklace has a unique construction with an ornate oval gold pendant with a sensuous curving design. Dangling from the center is an open back band wrapped faceted amber glass stone with a flower bud swinging on each side. An elegant antique Nouveau-Deco era necklace featuring a pendant with an ornate brass floral design mounting. In the center is a large brass flower with a cascading bouquet of wired faceted carnelian glass stones. Leaves from the large flower curl over the stones. This design with the cascading glass stones was a favorite of the manufacturer, the Fishel, Nessler Company of New York (1885 to 1936). The pendant hangs from an elaborate detailed book chain and connects to the pendant with a cluster of brass flowers. The back of the pendant is signed FN&Co. The necklace measures 17 inches long with a secure spring ring closure. The pendant adds an additional 1-3/4 inches. All the carnelian glass is free of chips and the brass has a rich aged patina. This is an exceptional Gutta Percha Victorian bracelet with a center medallion decorated with high relief cherries and foliage. It was meant for a dainty wrist. The band is adjustable, and has about 1 inch of easy give to it at the back of the overlapping band. We highly recommend not forcing a large hand through it. It was suggested to us by a Victorian dealer that it be run under warm water first to give it some additional flexibility. The bracelet measures approximately 2 inches across the opening without stretching the band. The centerpiece measures approx. 2 inches x 1-1/2 inches. An unusual and highly collectible piece.

A vintage choker that has a Deco revival sensibility but may be an earlier piece. It is a well made piece with a sturdy chain measuring approx. 6-3/4 inches on either side. The lavender marbled cab has a translucent quality to it and is set in a gold-tone mounting with a geometrical fringed attachment. The marbled cab is most likely glass and measures approx. 1-7/16 inches across x 15/16 inches down. The fringe measures approx. 1-1/2 inches down. The piece is in very good vintage condition with a spring ring lock that closes securely.

Love this brooch! It is quintessentially Egyptian Revival from the 1920s. The piece measures approx. 2-3/8 inches across x 2-5/8 down. It has the "C" type clasp. The front is engraved with markings that give it depth and the citrine colored stone is faceted and clear with only minor superficial random wear. It has some darkening of the metal on the front, which we believe enhances the vintage character of this great brooch.

This is a unique Egyptian Revival style breastplate made of solid copper and translucent green glass beads; one-of-a kind! It was researched, interpreted and designed by professional artist Marian Nebriaga in collaboration with CurioCorner. The components comprise repousee copper plates which are vintage Mariam Haskell findings. The glass beads were originally from a vintage necklace. This is a bold piece with the chains measuring approximately 24 inches. The copper plates measure approx. 3-1/2 inches by 15/16 inch. The total length of the breastplate from the top of the first one to the tip of the carved pendant bead is approx. 7-7/8 inches. The copper is starting to oxidize which it will do over time and develop a patina. The beads are in good condition with some minor fleabites, notable but not noticeable. This is an extraordinary adornment for either a man or woman who has a flair for the dramatic. Unique!

From Boehm, an internationally known porcelain studio, we offer a classic Egyptian scarab pendant made in the U.S.  It is three-dimensional with applied hand painted muted steel blue-gray body and wings, which may appear as brown depending on your browser. It is detailed and elegant and was produced in a limited series of King Tut figurines and jewelry in 1976.  The measurements of the pendant are 2-3/8 inches x 1-3/8 inches x 5/8 inch.   The base of the pendant is designed with a slight curve to it. Ornate braided silver metal wire work with a row of iridescent mother of pearl beads forms a butterfly shape frame with a center teardrop coral glass stone. An extraordinary sterling and enamel earrings and necklace set crafted with incredible detail by silver master Melesio Villarreal, Taxco, Mexico.  He is considered one of the few remaining Taxco artists whose work is extremely high quality.  Villarreal worked for Margot de Taxco for 30 years and produced many of her designs from old forms he had saved.  The necklace is fully detailed on each articulated section.  The set is made entirely with 980 silver, far purer than the 925 silver used more commonly for Mexican jewelry. A spectacular carved bone Victorian necklace. The pendant of the piece features an open work foliate design with two birds (?) in the center. The veins of the leaves are a carved as well. This fabulous set includes a silver/malachite/onyx chevron necklace, bracelet and earrings. They are all constructions of segmented alternating onyx and malachite; all in full silver bezel with these sections joined by sturdy hand wrought silver pinned hinges. The necklace and bracelet are tongue-in-box clasps while the earrings are post style.

The necklace is about ½ inch wide at the widest point tapering to ¼ inch at the hinge. It has a wearable length of about 15 inches, sized to fit most necklines. The bracelet measures a little under 3/8 inch wide and has a wearable length of 7 inches. The earrings measure a little under 3/8 inch wide by 1-1/8 inches long. The combined weight of the set is 62 grams. All three are marked "Mex" and "925."

Brilliant green foil glass Art Deco necklace! Large 20mm center glass bead is wrapped with foil and capped on each end with a delicate filigree. Connected to the next by round green glass beads to the 18mm foil beads with the addition of beehive shaped glass beads adding punch. Necklace measures approximately 25 inches with a secure sterling spring ring closure. Notable but not noticeable on one of the beads, there is a small rough spot on the unfoiled area. Although unsigned, the beads are Czechoslovakia in origin...quite different in composition than the normal foil glass you see. Color is brilliant and the glass glows. Lucious vintage necklace!

A beautiful fully hallmarked English transitional brooch. The piece features two crescent moons joined together with the first having inset stars and an eight point star in the center. The other moon has applied leaves with an engraved design on the background. Hallmarked on the back with the lion passant, the anchor for Birmingham and a letter date as well as the initials JH. Lovely antique brooch! The brooch measures just short of 2 inches with a tubular hinge and a c-clasp closure. Very good condition with the original patina in place. Exquisite vintage sterling silver necklace with a beautiful wide heart shaped mother of pearl pendant. The MOP is mounted in a scalloped and bead sterling frame with the center having a leaf design with a blue lapis cabochon stone. Dangling from the pendant are three genuine pearl drops. The pendant is suspended from two lapis beads with gold pyrite and a fine sterling foxtail chain. Hallmarked on the back sterling along with the maker which we cannot decipher. The MOP in the center flashes iridescent color which the camera could not pick up.
