Long antique tri-fold celluloid mirror Victorian rustic scenes
SKU: V0088
This is an early 19th century or early 20th century celluloid tri-fold mirror. The length is approximately 14-3/8 inches across. The individual front panels each measure approx. 9-1/8 inches down x 7-3/16 inches across. The legs, which are sturdy, each measure approx. 1/4 inch long. There is metal ornament on top. Also, there is a sturdy chain attached to top of the frame for hanging the mirror on the wall. The back panel is covered with a heavy paper material with moderate random rubs, none of which is material. The celluloid panels are embossed with rustic scenes. The mirrors are beveled and in very good with no cracks or loss of silvering. The hardware including the hinges and locking clasp are in good condition also. Many of these mirrors have patent dates engraved on them, but we cannot locate one on this mirror.
